GABRIEL'S LIGHT
Youth Survey Redesigns
THE BRIEF — As a former Gabriel's Light Youth Ambassador, I had the opportunity to update bilingual surveys for Gabriel's Light, solving a pre-existing issue found in their original survey design that heavily impacted the team's answer analyses. The primary use of the various surveys is to gather prior and new knowledge during site visits. Four categories of surveys were redesigned to differentiate each of their program initiatives, improving broader brand recognition among Chicago-area youth (grades 3-6 and 7-12) and educators.
SURVEY CATEGORY 1
UNDERSTANDING
MENTAL HEALTH
At this initial stage, the team had expressed an issue with their old surveys: the headers all looked the same. Color coordinating each topic had become a key element of the redesign process at this step.

SURVEY CATEGORY 2
BULLYING PREVENTION
It was at this stage that we had discussed prioritizing one of the least used brand colors (at that time): yellow. By this point the consistent layout of the survey body and header had been agreed on. The secondary logo was also introduced along the bottom of each survey.

SURVEY CATEGORY 3
TECH & MENTAL HEALTH
Since the general layout and header had been solidified, there wasn't drastic changes made by this point in the project partnership.

SURVEY CATEGORY 4
ASK & ACT
The final survey was created following the established layout and used one of their primary neutral colors for the header to ensure that every category remains visually distinct from each other.

SURVEY CATEGORY 5
SELF-REFERRAL
& EXIT SLIPS
The final deliverable of the partnership are smaller-scale slips that were created to be filled out at the end of each school site visit by students.
